A respected colleague has challenged me to 'make my writing public via a blog site'. I have decided to do so in order to model for my students that writing always has an audience, and risk is essential for real learning. I have spent years writing to myself and to my students, so now I am putting myself out there to you as well. I have just begun this journey and have MUCH to learn. Hopefully some of you out there can find nuggets of useful items in my thoughts as I have learned so much from you, my fellow bloggers, even though I have been a silent admirer until now...
